Job Summary
As a member of the sales team, generate patient admissions, from hospital based referral sources, promote growth of admissions over time and take personal responsibility for meeting specific admission goals on a weekly basis. Establish and maintain significant professional relationships with key physicians and hospital personnel. Work closely with Community Education Representatives to meet growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market acceptance and allegiance. Explain Odyssey’s services to patients and families in a manner that results in the admission of appropriate patients. Interact with patients, families, and referral sources. Oversee pending patients (referrals) and routinely follow the progress of prospective patients. Oversight of GIP patients with emphasis on following Plan of Care related to Palliative treatment. Work closely with patient care teams in transitioning patients as they are admitted to Odyssey services. Represent Odyssey and its services in a competent professional manner consistent with the organizations’ service and teamwork culture. Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s budget. Travel as necessary.
Qualifications:
RN Degree required
Strong hospital contacts preferred
3 or more years of sales experience in the health care field with history of postive sales results
Min of 3 years of nursing with current hospice, home health, or medical experience
Knowledge of hospice preferred
Excellent communication skills and excellent presentation and speaking skills
Valid drivers license
