Position Description
Community Support Specialist
Columbus Office
Do you have a Bachelor's degree in Human Services? Do you have experience working in the field of Mental Illness and/or Substance Abuse? If so, apply to be our Community Support Specialist!
This position provides, develops and supervises the services and support which enables clientele to live successfully in the community. Through enhancing the client’s community participation, advocating for the client, assisting the client in development of skill sets, and facilitating communication and coordination between multiple service providers. The majority of client contact will be in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in a human service field required;
· Previous experience in the area of mental health and/or substance abuse services;
· Valid driver’s license and driving record insurable with the Agency’s liability carrier;
· CPR certified or becomes certified within specified time;
· First Aid certified or becomes certified within specified time.
* Catholic Charities expects any staff in a recovery program for substance abuse and/or mental illness, have a minimum of 2 years continuous recovery.
