Position Status: Full Time
Primary Duties: Utilizing skill and technique, the SLP evaluates the patients rehabilitation needs, establishes treatment plans and goals, and periodically reassesses the patients response to the treatment plan. The SLP provides a continuum of services including prevention, identification, consultation and treatment. The SLP will assess and treat a patient population, through physician referral, that includes pediatrics through geriatrics. The SLP will work with patients throughout all of the Rehabilitation Departments settings, which may include: Hospital Inpatients, Outpatients, Home Health, and Contracting Agencies, such as nursing facilities, school systems, hospitals and child development centers. If qualified candidates would prefer to work less than 40 hours per week, we may be able to accomodate that request.
Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required, along with licensure in the State of Nebraska as a Speech Language Pathologist, without restrictions. Progressive levels of expertise will require one or more of the following: work experience, self-study, special certification or post-professional education. Successful candidates must have the ability to interact well with patients, family, public, physician, and other staff regardless of age, color, creed, race, or diagnosis.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hr day shifts
