Internal Medicine Physician Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Near Morristown, NJ

A State Hospital is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located near Morristown, New Jersey.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a credentialing timeframe of approximately three weeks. The role is open to MDs only, in accordance with state guidelines. There are no call responsibilities. The provider will be responsible for the care of up to 45 mental health patients across two units, though not all patients will be seen daily. The patient population consists entirely of individuals receiving involuntary mental health care. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Family or Internal Medicine and hold an active New Jersey license. The facility uses paper charts and is supported by a full mental health care team, including psychiatrists, internists, nurses, and technicians. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and experienced in working with mental health patients.
