Overview:

The Surgical Specialty Unit is hiring an RN for their 16-bed surgical Progressive Care Unit. This unit manages post-op surgical adult patients who require post-operative care. Our specialty services include general, urology, gynecology, gynecology/oncology, GI, podiatry, and ENT, just to name a few. Our unit features large private rooms each with standard lift equipment and bedside computers that allow physicians and nurses instant access to medical records at bedside. Collaboration, teamwork and attentiveness to the needs of each patient are key components to the excellent care provided to our patient populations at Rust Medical Center. Type of Opportunity: Full Time (0.9 FTE/36 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Nights

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    Minimum Associate Degree

    Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred

    Education specialization:
    Nursing

    Credentials:
    Registered Nurse-NM

    State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License Academic Preparation:

    BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.

    ACLS: Emergency Department, Critical Care, Cardiovascular Lab, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Progressive Care, Surgical Services
    NRP: Family Birthing Center, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Mother/Baby Care
    PALS: Children Services, Cardiovascular Lab, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services
