Unit Information:

• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Scrub Color: Pewter Grey

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Travel Experience: Required
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred Certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
• EMR: Epic (proficiency required)
• Float Requirement: Yes, to units of equal or lower acuity
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Required Skills:

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Management of multi-system organ failure
• Pre/post cardiac intervention care
• Pulmonary artery line management
• IV insulin protocol management
• Care for post-GI surgery and renal failure patients
• Port access
• Arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Central and PICC line management
• IV initiation and sedation (including procedural sedation)
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Stroke management
• BiPAP/CPAP assistance
• Chest tube management
• Care of ventilated patients
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) support
• Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) interpretation
• Ventilator management and suctioning
